Community

The staff at a law firm is intimately engaged with its community. We’re there in the best of times, the challenging times and everything between.

And so the efforts of a community to improve the lives of its residents are efforts that are meaningful to us, too. Here are a few examples of what we’ve been up to in our communities:

MBW was privileged to sponsor the @hotchkisslibraryofsharon gala last night. Attended by Joshua Mackey, it was a beautiful evening to support a valuable resource in the Sharon, Connecticut community.

May 4th The Troutbeck Symposium

May 4, 2024

MBW partner @c.whalen.mcdowell represented the firm at The Troutbeck Symposium. In its third year, the event is a student-led historical educational forum where middle and high school students from 14 regional public and independence schools gathered to present and discuss research projects uncovering little known histories of communities of color and other marginalized groups. Thanks to Troutbeck for this and so many other forums that bring together and enrich our community! Troutbeck

Valentine’s Day at Abilities First

February 14, 2024
Meet Violet, our Valentine’s Day hero! For the past four years, Violet has dedicated her time and creativity to make Valentine’s cards for our community at Abilities First. Every card crafted with love is more than just a piece of paper; it’s a symbol of acceptance, kindness, and the power of connection.
Pictured are a few of our friends enjoying the sweet sentiments. Thank you Violet for helping us create a world where everyone is valued and cherished!

Coat Drive

November 22, 2023

We are collecting gently used and new winter coats in our Poughkeepsie and Millbrook locations now through December 31st for New York Cares. Please take a few minutes to look in your closet for unwanted coats, and ask friends and family to do the same. This year the need for warm coats is greater than ever!
